The Climate whip around
WHAT IS AUSTRALIA'S CLIMATE!
You are a field climate scientist working in one of four regions of Australia at a time of year specified by you. The television program “The 4pm Project” is shooting weather updates from each of the four locations around Australia. You are required to report the weather from your region during the live cross to your location. You will need to write a script include:
- Describe and explain the weather at the time of shooting (it could be an extreme event)
- Wind conditions (speed and direction)
- Anything else that you would like to add as long as it’s relevant and makes sense (what can you hear, see, feel)
- An explanation of typical weather patterns in July with reference to the position of the region on the globe (latitude) and the position of the sun (angle the sun’s rays hit the earth)
- Mt Hotham
- Alice Springs
